Plan your trip!

Arrive at the King Hussein Airport close to Aqaba(AQJ), where we will meet you, assist with immigration and then transfer you to your hotel.
Aqaba is a small city in the very south of Jordan, nowadays mainly famous for some of the most beautiful diving and snorkeling grounds in the world. Due to her location at the northern tip of the Red Sea, the city has however been (and still is) of great economical and strategical importance for the region for hundreds of years.

Meals included: –

Overnight in Aqaba.

Pickup from your hotel in Aqaba and transfer to a Bedouin Camp in Wadi Rum. Upon arrival to the camp, we will take you on a jeep tour through the fantastic desert scenery to the foot of the mountain. The ride takes around 1-2 hours, depending on your camp’s location.

Jabal Umm ad-Dami (jabal means ‘mountain’), at more than 1,800 meters the highest peak in Jordan, offers you a whole new perspective of the desert from its summit. To the south you can see the border to Saudi Arabia, to the north Jabal Rum and Wadi Rum Village. According to your ability, climbing to the summit and back to the desert floor takes approximately three hours. Once you arrived back to the foot of the mountain, enjoy a simple lunch – either cooked in the shade of the mountains or back at your Bedouin Camp. After your meal you will have time to rest for a bit. Then set out for a 4×4 Jeep Tour Adventure which ends with watching a beautiful sunset across the desert. Afterwards, we will return to the camp for dinner, when you will get a another taste of typical Jordanian Bedouin hospitality.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight in Wadi Rum.

After enjoying your breakfast with a scenic desert view, you will be transferred to Little Petra where today’s hike begins. It will lead you to Petra via ‘The Back Door’, and the absolute plus point is: on this route you can avoid most fellow tourists.

Good tracks go pleasantly down Wadi Ghurab, amidst mighty sandstone mountains guarding the approaches to Petra. The way follows a Nabataean route out of the valley and skirts around the final mountain on a natural rock terrace which has been ‘improved’ for the safety of walkers. Even so, it still narrows slightly before reaching a hidden plateau high above the impressive chasm of Wadi Siyyagh. Just beyond, carved into the cliff face, ‘The Monastery’ suddenly comes into view. Close to the Monastery is a Bedouin café offering coffee, tea, and other refreshments.

After giving yourself a little time to rest, take a last look at the impressive monument and then head down on wide Nabataean steps into ancient Petra. From there, your route will take you through Wadi Muthlim (weather dependent) to your hotel accommodation in Wadi Musa, the modern city adjacent Petra.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight in Petra (Wadi Musa).

Today, you will visit more of the ancient Nabataean city of Petra, often also called the ‘Rose City’ or the ‘Lost City’, and counted as one of the New7Wonders of the World. Enter through ‘the Siq’, a narrow canyon flanked by high sandstone walls. The first monument that comes into sight is the magnificent ‘Treasury’, guarding the entrance to the city. Continue then to explore many more caves and tombs, a Roman theater, Qasr al-Bint and other structures.

In the afternoon, you will be transferred to Amman, Jordan’s capital. Inhabited since the bronze age, Amman is one of the oldest cities in the world. It has grown into a modern city in the last decades while retaining its character and history.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight in Amman.

Start the day with touring the old city of Amman, where you can also explore the Citadel and the Roman Theater, two of the most popular archaeological sites in the city. Then walk through the old market close to Al-Husseini Mosque, and stop at a local restaurant to sample authentic Falafel and Hummus, as well as some of the extremely delicious (and sweet) Arabic desert, Knafeh.

We then will transfer you to the Dead Sea. At 400m below sea level, you will find yourself at the lowest point on earth! Spend the rest of the day relaxing, floating in the salty waters of the Dead Sea, treating your skin with an invigorating mud-bath, resting by the pool or pampering yourself with spa treatments.

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight in Amman.

After breakfast, head further south to the Dana Biosphere Reserve. The reserve, Jordan’s largest, includes four distinct bio-geographical zones, which means that Dana supports an astonishing diversity of birds, plants, and animals. You will start hiking at Dana Village, 1,200m above sea level. The trail drops steeply at first and then levels into a more gradual descent through a beautiful valley towards the Feynan Eco-Lodge. On your way down the valley you may see Griffin Vultures overhead as well as hyrax and copper-blue lizards on the rocks; if you’re lucky you might even catch a glimpse of an ibex or a desert fox, or see the footprint of a wolf in the dust.

After you arrived at Feynan, you can enjoy some rest. If you still have some energy left then, a guided sunset walk leads every day from the lodge on a short walk (around 2030 min) up to a nearby hilltop, for freshly Bedouin tea and stunning views westwards as the sun sets over the vast Wadi Araba desert. Already this sunset walk is well worth the visit!

Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Overnight in Amman.

After breakfast start the day with one of multiple activities arranged by Feynan Eco-Lodge, offering you the chance to engage with the locals, whether it be a walk you can join, or have a coffee with them, or even cook an authentic vegeterian meal. Then drive back to Aqaba, where your trip started and where – if time allows – you can go for a boat ride on the Red Sea, or for some water sports activities.

Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch

Overnight in Aqaba.

After a last relaxed breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the Airport close to Aqaba.
