Itinerary

Day 1: Petra Main Trail

  Meeting Point & Time

  Pickup at the Petra Museum at 10 am.

  Siq

  Enter the Nabatean city of Petra through the magnificent tall and narrow canyon entrance to Petra know as the Siq.

  Petra

  Witness the ancient city like the travelers of old along the main trail.

• 4

  Free Exploration

  Free time to further explore the magical site of Petra on your own, to enjoy at the cave bar, or to rest up for tomorrow. For the adventurous, there are several good options to explore including Jabal Khubtha, Um Bayyara, and more!

Day 2: Bdoul Trail, Wadi Farasa, High Place of Sacrifice, Madrass Trail.

  Meeting Point & Time

  Meet up 10 am after breakfast. From there we head to the village of Um Sayhoun, the village where the Bedouins living in the site of Petra were moved to when Petra became a National Park.

  BDOUL TRAIL

  We'll head down an old Nabatean Trail into the site. We call this the Bdoul Trail since this is the trail that the Bedouin tribe "Bdoul" of Um Sayhoun take to go and work in the site of Petra.

  WADI FARASA

  We will arrive at the Wadi (valley) in the heart of Petra and cross the Colonnaded Street in the Ancient Roman City to Wadi Farasa passing many sites including the Renaissance Tomb, the Soldier Tomb

  HIGH PLACE OF SACRIFICE

  Then we'll climb up to the High Place of Sacrifice with sweeping views of the Royal Tombs and the center of Petra.

  MADRASS TRAIL

  From there we head on the Madras Trail tucked in the hills south of the Siq arriving near the Obelisk Tomb before ending the day at the Visitor Center.

  Finish

  From there where head to the Visitor's Center where we end the tour for today.

Day 3: PETRA BACK WAY

  BACK-WAY HIKE

  We'll take yet another entrance into Petra avoiding most of the crowds. We will hike a route up out of the valley that skirts around a mountain into a hidden high and the back entrance to Petra.

  THE MONASTERY

  Your hike is rewarded as you approach perhaps the largest and best-preserved facade in all of Petra - without the crowds of the main sites below.

  WADI SHO’AB QAIS

  Walking down the steps into the city and we'll pass oleander plants to the beginning of a slot canyon, Wadi Sho’ab Qais, that cuts through the heart of a mountain and ends at the path back to the Visitor Center.

  FINISH

  From there where head to the Visitor's Center where we end the tour.
