Summary

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Wadi Rum and its seemingly unreal landscape, often depicted often as Mars in Hollywood movies.

During the day, we'll explore in the back of 4x4 trucks, and on foot - hiking and scrambling to some incredible locations nestled in the desert. As the sun sets you will have time to collect your thoughts and escape from day-to-day life as you enjoy the campfire and gaze at the starry night sky.

Whether for Instagram or just memories, you'll be sure to get several great photos on this two-day desert adventure in one of the most beautiful nature reserves in the world.

Itinerary

Day 1: Hike Siq Um Ishreen Trail to Jabal Annifashyah

Pickup at the Wadi Rum Visitor's Parking Lot at 10 am.

Hike
We'll hike through the desert in the protected reserve and UNESCO World Heritage Site past dramatic rock formations and through a canyon of one of Jordan's highest mountains

Bedouin Camp
We'll then head back to camp to enjoy tea, star watching, and sitting by the fire with friends.

Day 2: Summit Jabal Umm Ad-Dami

Jeep Transfer
After an early breakfast we'll head out on Jeeps to Jabal Umm Ad-Dami near the southernmost point of the nature reserve and the border with Saudi Arabia

Summit Jabal Umm Ad-Dami (1854m)
This moderate hike will take 2-3 hours from bottom to the top where amazing panoramic desert views await.

Lunch at Camp
We'll then head back to camp for a cooked lunch reward

Jeep Tour
After lunch and some time to settle, we'll head out into the desert again for further exploration into the vastness of the desert. We'll explore rock canyons and bridges nestled in the desert with great views before sunset.

Day 1: The lunch is a packed lunch, which we will eat during a break, and dinner is provided at our bedouin camp accommodation.
Day 2: Breakfast and lunch will be provided at the bedouin camp.

Bedouin Camps:
Rooming on a twin-share basis. So travelers booking together will share a room and single travelers will share a room with someone of the same gender.

These are fixed site, touristic Bedouin Camps, staffed by locals, in Wadi Rum.

We usually like to use a smaller, more basic camp in Wadi Rum. This avoids the larger crowds of a bigger touristic camp and provides a more intimate atmosphere. The people who run the smaller camp are friendly and genuine. Bathrooms are normally off-suite, with a women’s and men’s public bathroom. The rooms do not have A/C or heater, but the desert normally has cooler temperatures at night.
