Weekly Walks: A consistently excellent outdoor experience

I’m an expat based in Amman, and I am sure to go on one of Experience Jordan’s ‘Weekly Walks’ at least one a month. Typically occurring each Friday, they serve as a fun, cheap (usually 20-25 Jordanian dinar or 30-35 USD will get you door to door including lunch) opportunity to see the natural beauty that Jordan has to offer. The walks are very well organized, and are led by a guy named Ayman, who is very passionate about hiking and the outdoors, and is great fun to be around. He also doubles as a great on-the-trail chef.

If you’re based in Amman or just visiting Jordan, I highly recommend the Weekly Walks as way to see a side of Jordan often unseen. For Jordanians and expats based in Amman, the walks also serve as a great way to meet others with similar interests. I’ve personally made numerous friends while on the hikes. Great exercise too.
